What makes the 100D so special? Well, it's many things! It's the new Burr Brown 24bit/192k DAC chipsets, it's the highly accurate digital clock that removes the jitter, and it's the asynchronous sample-rate converter and 8x oversampling digital filters that are responsible for the tremendous sound quality. It is also the huge copper circuit board traces and the advanced analog output stage. You can't discount the effects of the heavy-duty, vibration-damped chassis either.

Based entirely on the world famous PS.20 which totally changed the audiophiles world of what a phonostage can do!

During the design stages of the whestTWO we made a crazy decision to incorporate some of the MC REF V ideas, namely its hybrid active/passive RIAA filter stage. Unlike other units at this price point that use the standard ‘input stage-Passive RIAA filter-output stage’ configuration, the whestTWO uses an identical configuration which was borrowed from the MC REF V Mk4 and this can also be found in the PS.30R. This new RIAA configuration along with the high-current output stage means the whestTWO can resolve much more information compared to any of its rivals.

Skogrand SC Air interconnect cables boast “twisted pure solid copper leads suspended in air” sleeved in braided polyurethane. Along the entire length of the cables sit discrete balsa wood elements which operate as spacers and dampers.

Tellurium Ultra Black is the cable they wanted to make from day one. TQ told their UK distributor what to expect as they handed them a prototype that looked more like a fireman's hose and less like a sonic phenomena. They glanced at the heavy, stiff and it has to be said ugly brown experiment. "Yes, well we will give it a go and take it to a few dealers to see what they think". Later that day Tellurium got a phone call from their disbelieving UK distributors at Kog Audio, "what the hell is in it? We've never heard anything like this!".

That may be the reason that although their little company has only just appeared on the HiFi scene, they have immediately been awarded 5 Globes for an entire speaker cable range, awarded cables of the year for the ENTIRE cable range by HiFi Plus magazine and again product of the year by HIFi World in their Jan 2011 edition. The AN-S3 is a passive device, designed to convert the mainly current output of your Moving Coil cartridge (MC) to a higher voltage, low current signal of sufficient strength to allow a Moving Magnet (MM) phono stage to amplify it to a suitable level.

​The internal transformers used in the AN-S3 are manufactured by Audio Note (UK) exclusively. Each transformer is made from 0.1mm laminated super mumetal 250 and wound with 99.99% pure copper wire. Each Transformer is then housed in a mumetal screening canister to minimize noise and interference.
